Ben Chismar

Personal Trainer

Ben grew up playing multiple sports, but he really focused on football and wrestling throughout high school. He attended Penn State and graduated in 2000 with a degree in Engineering. During college, he also had the opportunity to work as a strength and conditioning coach for several of the collegiate teams, including men’s wrestling and women’s dance. After working as an engineer for a while, Ben realized he preferred training people.

He is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and he is also a certified Advanced Rock Climbing Instructor. Ben is also involved in competitive bodybuilding. Through hard work and discipline, he earned 1st Place Heavyweight in the 2006 Body1 Championships, and he earned 2nd Place Heavyweight in the 2006 Maryland State Championships.

“I train because it is way more fun than engineering. I like to focus on functional training like core development, strengthening and conditioning, and contest preparation. The accomplishment for which I am most proud is being titled “The Coolest Uncle Ever!

In my off time, I enjoy drinking coffee, reading, rock climbing, snowboarding, water sports, and visiting family. Two personal fun facts about me are I have three brothers and they are all bigger than I am, and I can recite the alphabet backwards.”
