The origins of the Pilates reformer date back to the original Pilates studio in New York in the 1920’s and was designed by the founder, Joseph Pilates.

Reformer Pilates is a superior workout to the mat based variety as the amount of exercises available is greatly increased providing far more versatility. The exercises usually work muscles through a large range of motion which is ideal for building and toning as well increasing stability through the joints. Because Reformer Pilates works more areas than the core, which is worked in mat Pilates, it is considered to be a full-body workout.


Alexander Technique

Level Fitness is proud to offer the Alexander Technique taught by Certified Instructor Melissa Harrison. The Alexander Technique is a hands on educational method that helps to eliminate habitual and chronic tension allowing the natural coordination to re-emerge. It can help with balance, back pain, joint pain, and stress among other conditions. The lessons are one on one and done in the Pilates house in comfortable clothing..
